    Dr. Brian Novak, DVM

    Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Brian Novak, a native of the Chicago area, always had a combined fascination with science, nature and animals which naturally led him to veterinary medicine.  A 1993 graduate of Michigan State University School of Veterinary Medicine, he worked at wildlife rehabilitation clinics in Cape Cod and on Sanibel Island, Florida for two years before moving to Tampa to work in small animal medicine.  Dr. Novak moved to the Philadelphia area in 2005 and joined the staff of Animal Medical Center.  His primary interest has always been in surgery, especially with orthopedics such as cruciate ligament disease and innately challenging surgeries in exotic animals.

With family in Chicago and San Francisco, Dr. Novak finds himself traveling cross-country for reunions every couple of years.  This allows him to keep track of nieces, nephews, and have some family fun.  Closer to home, he loves hiking and kayaking—with his one-of-a-kind 'Florida Mountain Dog', Guinness!

Dr. Novak is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the American Animal Hospital Association, the Association of Avian Veterinarians, the Association of Reptilian and Amphibian Veterinarians, the Association of Exotic Mammal Veterinarians and the Veterinary Sportsman's Society.
