Wednesday, November 5, 2014 - Start date for Next Steps.

Next Steps Manners class is a 6 week training session that meets once a week for an hour and the registration for the session is $135.00.  Graduates of our First Steps Puppy Socialization Class will receive a $10 discount towards their Next Steps registration. Next Steps meets on Wednesdays and there are two class times offered; 1 pm or 8 pm.

This class is for dogs that are at least 4 months of age through adult and current on their vaccines.  The main skills that will be covered in this course are; focus and attention games, sit, down, leave it, drop/give, come when called, wait and walking without pulling. Next Steps makes training fun and enjoyable for both the owners and their dogs, while teaching the owners the tools needed to train their dog to be a lifelong companion.

Advanced Steps:
The pre-requisite for Advanced Steps is to have completed Next Steps or a level one course attended elsewhereExercises that are tested in AKC’s Canine Good Citizen test will be the focus of this course and helping handlers become more skilled in using positive reinforcement techniques in training.  Advanced Steps is a continuation of your training journey with your dog. The registration for this 6 week session is $140.  Next Step graduates receive a $10 discount.

If I have enough interest, I would like to start an Advanced Steps session the first week of November.  The class would run either on Wednesday or Thursday afternoons, with a start of either November 5 or 6.  The specific time slot and class day will be determined by your interests. Wednesday class times being considered are 2:30-3:30, 3:30-4:30 or 4:00-5:00.  Thursday class times are 1:00-2:00 or 2:00-3:00.

If you are interested in attending Advanced Steps, please email your choice of class day and time, along with your contact information.
