Biggest Loser Program
What is one of the easiest ways to prolong your pet's life? By reducing your pet's weight to an ideal weight, you will not only prolong life, but also decrease the risk of diabetes, respiratory problems, heart disease and joint disease. A startling 25% of cats and dogs are overweight and this number jumps to 40% in pets 5-12 years of age. An extra pound on an average sized cat (or 2 pounds on a medium dog breed) is equivalent to 20 extra pounds on a human!
You can help by making changes in your pet's nutrition and exercise. It is up to you to change these numbers.
Here at the Animal Medical Center, we're excited about our continued program to help our furry friends reach their loss goals. Not only will we start you off with nutritional advise and the tools you need, but we will also help keep you and your pet on track with monthly weigh-ins. You'll be able to see your pet's "before" and "after" photos on the bulletin board in our waiting area and watch the progress we're making. In addition, your pet will be eligible to win free food from Hill's Science Diet for reaching goals and there is a prize basket for the pet with the best results!
