NEXT STEPS - Manners class for pet dogs and their humans

Animal Medical Center will be starting a new session of  Next Steps on Wednesday, July 12, 2017.  This 6 week session is open to dogs that are at least 4 months old through adults.  Classes will meet for an hour once a week on Wednesday’s for 6 weeks.  We offer two different time slots you can attend, 1pm or our 8 pm session.

It is our goal to make training a part of your everyday life with your dog.  We want dog owners to see how simple and fun training can be and how patience, consistency and a deeper understanding of a dog’s behavior can lead to a happier, healthier and harmonious household.  Our classes promote training methods that are kind, gentle and have an emphasis on building a relationship with your dog.

The skills that will be taught in class will include; sit, down, wait, stay, leave it, drop, come when called, walking on a loose leash, teaching focus exercises and learning self-control.  We will also address any concerns that you bring to class regarding your dog’s behavior.

The registration for the 6 week session is $135 and all graduates of our First Step class receive a $10 discount.

For more information or to register for class, email the instructor, Shirley Thompson at sthompson@mypetdoc.com.
